A high-quality source of CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), which contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels (the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 10 g of linoleic acid). CLA is derived from the seeds of the safflower plant (Carthamus tinctorius), which resemble sunflower seeds. These seeds contain approximately 40% safflower oil, with an exceptionally high proportion of linoleic acid (an omega-6 fatty acid), as well as vitamins A, E and K and plant sterols.
